传说：
Hercules是希腊神话中其中一个最为有名的大力神。
作为Zeus与凡人的儿子，她受到了天后Hera的厌恶。从出生起就受到了Hera的迫害。但是，坚强的Hercules长大成为强大的战士，出色的战绩让他在希腊众神中拥有相当的地位。
之后，他与Megara相爱，组成家庭并育有3个孩子。幸福与快乐再次受到了Hera的妒忌。一次陷害中，Hera让Hercules陷入了愤怒及疯狂，他因此亲手杀掉了自己的妻子及孩子。家庭破灭，Hercules受到了莫大的打击。
这幅画的主题是“心碎的大力士”，如破镜般的背景象征着Hercules那种愤怒、无助及心痛。
Inspiration:
Hercules is one of the most famous character of Greek mythology. As the son of Zeus and a mortal woman, he suffered the wrath of Hera, Zeus's wife. Almost immediately after his birth, Hera tried to kill him but failed. Hercules grew to be a famous warrior and was well-respected by gods and mortals alike. He eventually fell in love with a woman, Megara and formed a happy family with three children.
However, such happiness did not last. Hera tricked Hercules into a flying rage and blinded by his anger, Hercules killed his own wife and children. When Hercules came back to his senses, all was too late. His entire world crumpled at that instant as depicted by the cracked background in the drawing and Hercules devastated and heart broken in the foreground.
